Sunday 25th May 2025 brings The Sound Of Shrewsbury Presents, Hive Aid. A complete mini folk festival in one day. There will be workshops in Breton and British dance, songwriting, poetry and folk music, alongside children's entertainment and two concerts.
We are delighted to announce that the genius folk legend Keith Donnelly will be sharing the top of the bill with Shrewsbury's own, Jessie Reid. Last year she featured at Glastonbury, so we know how lucky we are to bring her home.
In the street there will be food stalls, Morris dancing and revelry, leading to The Old St. Chads church yard where, for the first time in history there will be an Artisan Market with a Shropshire feel.
There will also be acoustic song sessions in town in a perfect pub - Loggerheads.
Running from 10 a.m to 11 p.m. Hive Aid is a very hot ticket.
All daytime activities are child friendly, with 9 years and under able to access indoor activities for free.
