Workshops at Shrewsbury Cemetery (Longden Road)

15th, 22nd & 29th August (11am - 1pm)

Join celebrated local artists Zoe Needle and Nichola Slawson at three unique nature inspired workshops where you can explore different types of printmaking and try your hand at simple creative writing.

Botanical Printmaking and Haiku Writing, Saturday 15th August: 11am - 1pm

Exploring species and focusing on nature found in the meadow by using a print press and writing haiku. (Spaces currently full with a waiting list)

Monotype Printmaking & Flash Fiction, Saturday 22nd August: 11am - 1pm

Combining symbolism, grave stories and biodiversity. Walking & drawing onto a small pre-inked print plate and writing inspired by the stories of people laid to rest there (Limited spaces left!)

Plasticine Relief Printmaking & Poetry, Saturday 29th August: 11am - 1pm

Using the gravestone imagery for poetic inspiration and creating a small, folded book to explore symbols & textures found throughout the site. (Limited spaces left!)
