Good Habits are a dynamic indie-folk band with a knack for turning existential musings into bursts of optimism. With vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums, their sound is virtuosic, cinematic and joyfully genre-blending. Part folk storytelling, part groove-driven energy.
Formed by singer-cellist Bonnie and accordionist/synth player Pete while stranded in New Zealand during the pandemic, the band built their identity around adventure, connection and creativity. In 2025, the addition of drums (Jen Walinetski) supercharged their live show with electrifying rhythmic drive.
Their UK Top 40 Folk charting album Quarter-Life earned praise from BBC Radio and appearances at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Cambridge, Green Man and more. With a new album on the horizon, Good Habits are stepping into their next chapter with vibrant stories, playful energy and sheer musical joy.
In 2025, Good Habits evolved into a new powerhouse line-up with the addition of drummer Jen Walinetski (Miles Kane), supercharging their already dynamic live show with a rhythmic drive that has electrified audiences. Together, they create performances that are equal parts virtuosic musicianship, mischievous energy, and deeply meaningful connection.
Their UK Top 40 Folk charting album ‘Quarter-Life’ won praise from BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, and 5 Live, and glowing reviews describing their sound as “musicianship at its 21st century best” (Tom Robinson, BBC), alongside recent festival appearances at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Cambridge, Green Man, Kendal Calling and much more.
Good Habits thrive on connection. With new album ‘Better for Now’ out in October 2026, Good Habits are stepping boldly into their next chapter: a vibrant, optimistic collision of stories, songs and sheer musical joy.
